About a year ago I was yoga-ing my face off. As in every day. Going for broke. Then something unfortunate happened. I ended up with an injury. Because I did the one thing teachers always tell you not to do. I pushed myself too hard, didn’t listen to my body and tried to go deeper into something which I most definitely wasn't ready for. So our life is constant. Go go go. Don't spend too much time worrying about where you are, instead-focus on where you're going next! This is what we are engaged to believe in order to keep capitalism alive. No wonder we're all anxious/stressed/depressed. No wonder we're striving for the next promotion/the next tinder swipe/the next "goal".

We are so focused on the yang or 'masculine' element of our lives that we don't take any time for the yin/feminine. Physically; whether you go to the gym and lift weights, or are a die hard yogi, progression will only advance...

Hello all and welcome to Lucybloom Yoga! I'm very excited to begin weekly classes in a wonderful space in Ranelagh. I'll be teaching a vinyasa on Tuesday evenings and a Yin on Sunday evenings. You can see a brief description of the class types in the Classes section.

The style of yoga I teach aims to strengthen the body as well the mind through the eight limbs of yoga. This is achieved by mindful movement and moving meditation. With the steady focus toward calming the overactive mind through physical poses, strength will naturally occur in the body.
